Who we are and what you agree to

iBalanz is an app by DprojectLab for organizing your personal finances. These terms are the rules for using it.

By downloading or using iBalanz you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

iBalanz is intended for people aged 18 and over.

What iBalanz is and what it is not

iBalanz is a tool for recording and organizing your money: income, expenses, accounts, cards, loans, goals and budget. Everything it shows comes from the information you record.

• iBalanz is not a bank or a financial institution, and it does not connect to your bank accounts.
• It does not move money, make payments or transfers, or hold your money.
• It is not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. For important decisions, consult a professional.

Figures such as the balance, “Today’s margin”, financial health, the risk index or the projection are estimates calculated from your records. If a piece of data is missing or wrong, the result will be too. Always check your statements and payment dates with your bank.

Your data and your backups

Your data is yours. It is stored on your phone and we do not have a copy, so we cannot recover it for you.

• If you uninstall the app, clear its data or lose your phone without a backup, the information is lost.
• The backup to your own Google Drive account is optional and depends on that Google service. You can also export a backup to a file whenever you want.
• Protect access to your phone and, if you like, lock the app with your fingerprint, face or a PIN. Keep in mind that the widget and notifications can show amounts in plain sight.

Optional features and services from other companies

Some features depend on services from other companies. When you use them, those services’ terms also apply.

• AI assistant: it works with your own key from the provider you choose. Anything that provider charges you is your responsibility, and its answers can be wrong: take them as guidance, not as professional advice.
• Automatic entries: the app suggests transactions from your bank alerts and your receipts, and it can misread an amount, a date or a merchant. Review each suggestion before saving it and, if you turn on automatic saving, review afterwards what was saved on its own. When an alert comes in another currency, the conversion uses the exchange rate you type in.
• Shortcuts to your bank apps: they only open those apps. We have no relationship with your banks, and each app is governed by its own terms.
• Reminders and notifications: they help you not to forget, but your phone may delay or block them (for example, to save battery). Do not rely on them alone for your payment dates.

Free version, ads and iBalanz Plus

iBalanz can be used for free. The free version shows Google ads.

iBalanz Plus adds features and removes the ads. It is offered as a one-time payment or as a yearly subscription, at the price Google Play shows in your currency.

• Google Play processes payments with its own system and terms. iBalanz does not see or store your payment details.
• The yearly subscription renews automatically every year until you cancel it. You can cancel it whenever you want in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions, and you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Plus is tied to the Google account you bought it with.
• Refunds are governed by Google Play’s policies. If you have a problem with a purchase, write to us.
• Sometimes we give away a free trial of Plus. It does not ask for any payment method and, when it ends, the app goes back to the free version on its own.

If you stop having Plus, we do not delete anything you created. Plus features stop being available and, where there is a limit, you can keep using what you already have but not add more.

The Founder medal is an in-app recognition for people who buy the one-time payment. It has no monetary value and cannot be transferred.

What is not allowed

You can use iBalanz for your personal, family or project finances. It is not allowed to:

• Copy, modify, sell or redistribute the app, or try to obtain its source code.
• Get around the ads, the limits or the payment for iBalanz Plus by unauthorized means.
• Use it for illegal activities or to deceive other people.

Intellectual property

The app, its name, its logo, its design and its help guides belong to DprojectLab. We give you permission to use iBalanz personally, non-exclusively and as long as you comply with these terms. That permission does not give you ownership of the app.

Changes to the app

We improve iBalanz with updates: we may add, change or remove features. If we ever stop offering the app, your data will stay on your phone and you will be able to export it.

Liability

We do our best for iBalanz to work well and calculate carefully, but we offer it “as is”, without guaranteeing that it is error-free or always available.

To the extent permitted by law, DprojectLab is not liable for decisions made based on the app, or for late fees, interest, penalties or losses resulting from incomplete data, an alert that did not arrive or a suggestion that was saved without review. If we were ever held liable, the maximum will be what you paid for iBalanz Plus in the previous 12 months.

None of this limits the rights given to you by the consumer protection laws of your country.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where DprojectLab is domiciled, without prejudice to the rights given to you by the law of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app, in Settings › Help & contact › What’s new. Continuing to use iBalanz after a change means you accept the new version.
