Pocket PC

Privacy policy

Pocket PC turns your phone into a mouse, keyboard and remote control for your computer. Your commands travel straight to your device, not through our servers.

At a glance
  • Your movements, clicks and what you type travel straight to your computer, over Wi-Fi, USB or Bluetooth. We have no servers that receive them.
  • We do not create accounts or ask for your name or email.
  • The free version shows Google AdMob ads; with Pocket PC Premium, none.

Who is responsible

Pocket PC is an app by DprojectLab. It has two parts: the phone app and the free Pocket PC program for Windows. For any question about your data, write to soporte@dprojectlab.com.

How it connects to your computer

  • Bluetooth: the phone presents itself as a mouse and keyboard to the device you choose. Nothing needs to be installed on that device and the connection does not go through the internet.
  • Wi-Fi or USB (Windows): the phone connects to the Pocket PC program that you install on your PC, inside your local network or over a cable. The Windows program does not connect to the internet.

To remember that you already authorized a phone, the app stores a random identifier on your phone and the Windows program stores on your PC the list of authorized phones (name and identifier). Both are deleted when you uninstall.

What is sent to your computer

Touchpad movements, clicks, gestures, keys, the text you type, your shortcuts and device commands travel straight to your computer. We do not store them or see them.

Air mode uses the phone's gyroscope only to move the cursor: it is processed on the spot on the phone and is not stored or sent anywhere. Pocket PC does not use the camera or the microphone.

File transfer

If you send a file from your phone to your PC, the Windows program saves it in the Downloads folder and shows it to you. If you send a file from your PC to your phone, it is only transferred while the app is open in the foreground. Everything happens inside your local network.

Actions on your computer

Locking, sleeping, restarting and shutting down the PC only happen when you ask for it from the app and confirm.

Ads (free version)

The free version shows Google AdMob ads. AdMob receives technical data from the phone, such as the advertising ID, to show ads and measure their performance, but never what you type or what you do on your computer. With Pocket PC Premium there are no ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent and can change it later in Settings when that option is available. More information: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Pocket PC Premium purchases

If you subscribe to Pocket PC Premium, payment is handled by Google Play. Pocket PC does not see or store your payment details: it only stores on your phone that your subscription is active. The name you engrave on your medal is stored only on your phone and leaves it only if you choose to share the medal image.

What we do not do

  • We do not create accounts or ask for your name or email.
  • We do not sell your information or share it with third parties, except for the technical data Google AdMob uses for ads, described above.
  • We do not use your camera or microphone, and we do not record your screen.
  • We have no servers of our own that store what you type or do.

How long data is kept and how to delete it

What Pocket PC stores lives on your phone (your preferences, your shortcuts and the random identifier) and on your PC (the list of authorized phones and the files you receive in Downloads). You delete it by uninstalling the app and the Windows program; you delete received files yourself from the Downloads folder.

Security

The Windows program only accepts phones that you authorized. Because the connection is local, use a trusted network and authorize only your own devices.

Children

Pocket PC is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy, and Google Play's data safety form, when we add features that change how your data is handled. The date above shows the latest review.
