- Your commands, photos, videos and the screen you cast travel straight from your phone to your TV, inside your Wi-Fi network. We have no servers that receive them.
- We do not create accounts or ask for your name or email.
- The phone app shows Google AdMob ads in its free version; with Pocket TV Premium, none. The TV app shows no ads.

Who is responsible
Pocket TV is an app by DprojectLab. It has two parts: the phone app (on Google Play: “Pocket Remote TV”) and the TV app, which receives what you send it. For any question about your data, write to soporte@dprojectlab.com.
How your phone and TV connect
Your phone and your TV talk to each other directly over your Wi-Fi network. They do not go through our servers: we have no servers that receive your commands, photos or videos.
The phone looks for your TV on the local network and you link it once with the 4-digit code shown on the TV screen. From then on, the TV only accepts commands from phones that were linked with that code. The phone stores the TVs you linked (their name and their address on your network) and the TV stores a key for each authorized phone.
What travels over the local connection: the remote's keys, touchpad movements, text you type with the keyboard, and the links and files you choose to send.
Photos, videos and screen casting
- Photos and videos: you choose what to send with Android's file picker. The app only accesses what you choose and has no permission to browse your gallery. While you send, the phone makes the file available to your TV, inside your network and with a random link, and stops doing so when it finishes.
- Screen casting: it uses Android's screen capture, which asks for your confirmation every time. The screen appears on the TV in real time and is not saved. It stops when you lock your phone (you can change this in Settings › Privacy). If you want, the app can silence notifications while casting so they don't appear on the TV; that requires an Android permission (access to “Do Not Disturb”) that you grant.
Built-in browser
The phone's browser opens pages directly from the internet, like any other browser: the sites you visit can see your IP address and store cookies. History, favorites and site icons are stored only on your phone, and icons are requested directly from the site itself. You can clear history and cookies in Settings › Browser.
The browser's ad blocker works inside your phone and sends data to no one. When you send a video from a page to your TV, the TV downloads it directly from that site.
Accessibility service on the TV (optional)
The TV app offers an optional accessibility service. If you turn it on in your TV settings, your phone can move the cursor, use the arrows, go Home or Back, swipe and type text in any app on the TV.
To do that, the service needs to know which element has focus on the screen, in order to press it or type into it. It does not read, store or send the content of what appears on your screen. In addition, the service keeps the receiver ready when you turn on the TV (Android restarts an enabled accessibility service on its own) and brings Pocket TV to the front when you send a video or photo. We do not use it for anything else. You can turn it off any time in the TV's accessibility settings.
Ads (free phone version)
The phone app shows Google AdMob ads: a banner, full-screen ads when you change sections, and optional rewarded videos (watching 4 short videos gives you 24 hours without ads). AdMob receives technical data from the phone, such as the advertising ID, to show ads and measure their performance, but never the content of what you send, type or watch. With Pocket TV Premium there are no ads. The TV app shows no ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent and can change it later in Settings when that option is available. More information: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Crash reports
If the phone app or the TV app closes because of an error, it sends a technical report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, so we can find and fix the problem. The report includes the app version, the Android version, the device brand and model, the technical details of the error and an installation identifier. It does not include your photos, videos, history, what you type or what you see on screen. The phone also keeps a copy of the last error, which you can share with us by email if you wish.
Pocket TV Premium purchases
If you subscribe to Pocket TV Premium, payment is handled by Google Play. Pocket TV does not see or store your payment details: it only stores on your phone that your subscription is active. The name you engrave on your medal is stored only on your phone and leaves it only if you choose to share the medal image.
What we do not do
- We do not create accounts or ask for your name or email.
- We do not sell your information or share it with third parties, except for the technical data used by Google AdMob (ads) and Firebase Crashlytics (crashes), described above.
- We do not read your gallery or record your screen.
- We have no servers of our own that store what you send, type or watch.

How long data is kept and how to delete it
Everything Pocket TV stores lives on your phone and your TV, inside their own apps: your linked TVs, your settings, the browser's history and favorites and the point where you left a video. You can clear history and cookies in Settings › Browser, or delete everything by uninstalling the apps. Crash reports are kept by Google for as long as its policy sets.
Security
The TV only accepts commands from phones linked with the 4-digit code shown on its screen, and serves one phone at a time. Because the connection is local, use a trusted Wi-Fi network and do not share the code with anyone.
Children
Pocket TV is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy, and Google Play's data safety form, when we add features that change how your data is handled. The date above shows the latest review.
