- Pocket TV controls your own TV from your phone: use it with your own TVs or with their owner's permission.
- You are responsible for what you send and show on the TV, and for having the right to do so.
- Use trusted networks: the local connection is not end-to-end encrypted.
- The free version on the phone has ads. Pocket TV Premium is a yearly Google Play subscription you can cancel at any time.

Who we are and what you agree to
Pocket TV is an app by DprojectLab, a software studio based in Guatemala. It is the same app on the phone and on the TV: on the phone it works as a remote control and on a TV with Android TV or Google TV it works as a receiver. These terms are the rules for using it.
By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it. If you are a minor under the law of your country, use it with the permission of your parent or guardian.
Use it with your TVs
Pocket TV is for controlling TVs that are yours or that you have permission to use, like the one at home. With it you can navigate the TV, open apps, type, show photos, videos and pages, and cast your screen, so:
- Don't install or use it on someone else's TV without their permission, or to bother whoever is watching.
- On TVs in hotels, businesses, schools or public places, follow that place's rules.
- If you share the TV with other people, remember that anyone nearby will see what you send.
You are responsible for what you do on the TV with Pocket TV and for using it lawfully.
What happens on your TV
The commands you send from the phone run on your TV as if you used its own remote.
- The power button can turn off the TV, and opening an app or switching inputs interrupts what was playing.
- A tap or a key can land somewhere else on the screen if the TV changed what it shows. Check the TV before sending important commands, such as buying or deleting something inside another app.
- The accessibility service is optional and you turn it on in the TV settings. With it, the phone can control any app on the TV; you can turn it off at any time.
- On the TV, the app opens by itself when the TV turns on so the receiver is ready. You can remove everything by uninstalling it.
What you send and what you watch
The photos, videos, pages and screen you send to the TV are yours or belong to someone who gave you permission. You are responsible for having the right to show them and for them not being illegal. We don't see or review them.
- Videos and pages from the internet belong to their sites and creators. When you send them to the TV, respect those sites' terms and copyright. Pocket TV does not give you rights to that content.
- Don't use Pocket TV to show content in public or for commercial purposes without the necessary licenses.
- The browser opens other people's sites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or what they do with your data. The browser ad blocker is optional and it is your choice to use it.
- Screen casting shows on the TV everything on your phone, including messages and private data.
How we handle your information is explained in the Pocket TV privacy policy.
Your network and your security
Pocket TV talks to your TV over your local network, without going through our servers. That communication is not end-to-end encrypted.
- Use it on trusted networks, like your home network. On a public network, other people could try to see or interfere with that communication.
- Don't share your TV's pairing code. If you lose a paired phone, remove its data by uninstalling and reinstalling the app on the TV.
- Keep your phone, your TV and your network up to date. Their security is your responsibility.
Services from other companies
Pocket TV works together with other companies' products, which have their own terms: Google Play (download and purchases), Google AdMob (ads), Firebase (crash reports), Android, Android TV and Google TV, and the sites and apps you open on the TV. We don't control those products, and their changes may affect Pocket TV features.
Android, Android TV, Google TV and Google Play are trademarks of Google. TV manufacturers' trademarks belong to their owners. Pocket TV is not affiliated with or sponsored by those companies.
Free version, ads and Pocket TV Premium
Pocket TV can be used for free. On the phone, the free version shows Google ads, and you can watch optional videos to get 24 hours without ads. There are no ads on the TV.
Pocket TV Premium removes ads and is offered as a yearly subscription, at the price Google Play shows in your currency.
- Google Play processes payments with its own system and terms. Pocket TV does not see or store your payment details.
- The subscription renews automatically every year until you cancel it. If it includes a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before. You can cancel at any time in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Premium is tied to the Google account you bought it with.
- Refunds are governed by Google Play’s policies. If you have a problem with a purchase, write to us.
- The Premium medal is an in-app recognition. It has no monetary value and cannot be transferred.
What is not allowed
To protect the app, its users and DprojectLab, it is not allowed to:
- Use Pocket TV to control other people's TVs without permission, to bother or watch other people, or for any illegal activity.
- Show or distribute with Pocket TV content that is illegal or infringes other people's rights.
- Copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, or try to obtain its source code, except as the law expressly allows.
- Sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, or modified versions of it, outside the official stores, even for free.
- Create or distribute apps or sites that imitate Pocket TV or DprojectLab, or pretend to be us.
- Get around the ads, limits or payment of Pocket TV Premium with unauthorized methods, or generate fake ad clicks or views.
- Introduce viruses or other harmful code, or interfere with the operation or security of the app.
If you don't follow these terms, we may stop giving you access to the app or to Pocket TV Premium, without a refund when the breach is serious, and take the legal action that applies.
Intellectual property
The app, its name, logo, design and guides belong to DprojectLab. We give you permission to use Pocket TV personally, non-exclusively and as long as you follow these terms. That permission does not give you ownership of the app.
Changes and availability
We improve Pocket TV with updates: we may add, change or remove features. To use it with your TV, the TV needs Android TV or Google TV with Google Play; TVs with other systems are not supported. We don't guarantee it will work with every phone, TV, network, app or future version of Android. If we ever stop offering the app, we will let you know in advance when possible.
Liability
We do our best for Pocket TV to work well, but we offer it "as is" and "as available", without guaranteeing it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, DprojectLab is not liable for damage to your devices, interruptions of what you were watching, purchases or other actions made by commands sent by mistake, content shown to other people, third-party access to your network, data costs or indirect losses resulting from the use of Pocket TV. If we were ever held liable, the maximum will be what you paid for Pocket TV Premium in the previous 12 months.
If you use Pocket TV against these terms or the law and that leads to a claim by someone else against DprojectLab, you are responsible for that use.
None of this limits the rights given to you by the consumer protection laws of your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, where DprojectLab is based, without prejudice to the rights the law of the country where you live grants you. Before any claim, write to us at soporte@dprojectlab.com: almost everything can be solved by talking.
If any part of these terms is not valid, the rest remains in effect.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app or on this website before it applies. Continuing to use Pocket TV after a change means you accept the new version.
